Lina Kusaite

Born in 1975, in Lithuania. She is an interdisciplinary artist and designer with a background in sculpture, ceramics, graphic and textile design, drawing and painting. Her interest and experience stretch from 2d drawing to spatial design for responsive environments, as well as textile and fashion design. In 2000 she finished European Master of Arts in Fashion and Textile Design in the Netherlands and France. Her MA project was nominated as one of the outstanding graduation works for the Prince Bernhard Price in The Netherlands. During her studies, Lina was awarded for designing the best conceptual fashion collection in Vilnius, Lithuania. From 1998 until 2002, Evelina has lead several fashion/textiles and drawing workshops in Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands and England. In 2001 Lina was invited to join FOAM in Belgium as experimental textile designer. As one of the core members of FoAM, she designs and produces costumes and scenography for responsive environments, illustrates spaces and characters for a variety of projects, as well as researches the field of smart textiles. Since 2003, Lina is a character designer and concept artist on the Belgian video game project "8".
