Janine Sack works as a publisher, art director and lecturer in Berlin. Since 2018, she has been running the publishing project EECLECTIC (Digital Publishing for Visual Culture), which was awarded the German Publishing Prize in 2024. She is part of the publishing network Drucken Heften Laden, which deals with topics of independent publishing in event and publication formats. As an art director, she has worked for the weekly newspaper der Freitag and redesigned the taz. She teaches visual communication with a focus on digital publishing (e.g. Merz Akademie, Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin). She was a founding member of the artist groups frauen-und-technik and -Innen and is part of the technofeminist research network #PurpleNoise (e.g. #shareyourair, Empowerment, Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, 2023).
