Arkona is a one-man project first created by [[Karol Suka]] around 1992. The name itself first appeared in 1996 as Suka became fascinated with the heroic Postawa of the defenders of Arkona, the Slavic Swiatyni, which was one of the last pagan cultures in Europe to resist the Christian invasion. Arkona has no limits in musical forms---sound penetrations vary widely, from chaotic deconstructions to deep, ambient, organic soundscapes based on a dub pulse. All the sounds are generated on an analogue synthesizer in a simple home ministudio. Arkona's motto is: Make the music (and art in general) on everything at hand, within reach of your abilities.  In the mid-1990s the commercialization of techno culture caused Arkona's return to the deep underground.
