(b. 1956) lives in Vilnius and is chairman of the Lithuanian section of computer music in the national organization of computer composers. He is active in public affairs, and it is thanks to his diligence that Lithuanian computer music is well known today the world over. His compositions are characterized by an exactness of form; many of them are created for the computer and a traditional instrument. For example, in his opus "Classical Equations", a violin plays the argument, from which is derived the logical function-synthesized sound. Medonis is also an active musicologist who works in the field of folklore.
