Born 1971, has a degree in Cultural Studies and Philosophy (M.A.). Is co-founder of the Interface Laboratory while having joined the Artistic and Academic Staff at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Germany, for three years, 1999-2002. Was Artist-In-Residence at the Mediatower / Medienturm, Graz, Austria, in 2001. Was the David Gee Lecturer for Critical Theory of Interactive Media at Goldsmiths College, University of London, U.K., another three years, 2002-2005. Became Visiting Professor for New Media at Merz Akademie, Germany, for one term in 2005. Is now and since 2006 Research Fellow and Guest Artist at ZKM, Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe. Lives in Berlin.
