Born 1955. She studied art (education) and German at Humboldt-Universität Berlin and art history at Universität Leipzig. Since 1982 she had been head of the civic Galerie am Markt in Annaberg-Buchholz. There she organized various Mail Art exhibitions of Guillermo Deisler and works from the archives of Steffen Jacob, Jürgen Schöberl, Joseph W. Huber, Steffen Giersch and Uwe Dressler. Since 1993 she has been curator at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz and since 1999 she has been head of the Carlfriedrich-Claus-Archive there.

She had been doing Mail Art from the beginning of the 1980s to the beginning of the 1990s.

“In retrospect it seems to me that the curiosity for unfiltered, uncensored information about artistic processes behind the narrow borders of the GDR and the lust for the exchange of thoughts were the main motives.
