CONT3XT.NET was a Vienna-based discussion platform for new media art. Founded in 2006 by Sabine Hochrieser, Michael Kargl (a.k.a. Carlos Katastrofsky), Birgit Rinagl and Franz Thalmair. Against the background of an interdisciplinary theoretical approach to all forms of communications technologies its mission is the critical investigation and documentation of actual tendencies in contemporary art production.

The initiative operated until 2012.
