Media arts festival in Berlin.

Since its beginnings back in 2000, EMERGEANDSEE defined its very own role as a portfolio for the work of upcoming student talents. The festival started with the goal of having a seat in the cinema reserved for digital no- and low-budget work.

Since the early days, EMERGEANDSEE presents annual showreels, loaded with fresh student-made short films which are being chosen out of an increasing amount of submissions. Good ideas are of higher value than technical perfection, genre constrictions are constantly disregarded on purpose. Motion pictures, animations, documentations and experimental imagery compete for the win, judged by our jury.

In 2010, the festival consisted of competition, exhibition and lectures.
