František Zachoval (1979) is a writer, curator and cultural worker.
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2006), where he also worked as head of its Digital laboratory, Digilab (2006-14) and as a member of the Department of Art History (2007-14). He co-founded the online art television Artyčok.TV (2006) and the publishing project The Karte (2010).
His artistic research involves the study of reemigration processes and contexts of digital subcultures. His works http://k-r-o-n-i-k-a.net and http://edata-base.net revitalize a memory of the landscape of Czech borderland.
He has also been involved in development of manuals and instructions for education in open source visual software.
Since March 2015, he works as director of Czech Centre in Bucharest.
