Icelandic Sound Company
Group of musicians concentrating on pure sonic art, using instruments like gongs and tam-tams along with various other percussion instruments, electric guitar, both played through sound processors. This combination is unique in Icelandic musical life and probably rare on a global scale. The result is a unique collection of soundscapes and timbres that the members of ISC have been developing for the past year.
The members; Gunnar Kristinsson (percussion) and Rikhardur H. Fridriksson (guitar) have decades behind them as musicians. They have been through education as musicologists, composers and instrumentalists, and have trough the last decades participated in numerous concerts and music festivals all over the world, alternatly as performers or composers.
Based in Reykjavík.
