Ilinca Iurascu holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, where she wrote her dissertation on technological modernity and epistolary nostalgia in German realist fiction. She is a former postdoctoral fellow of the Graduiertenkolleg “Mediale Historiographien” at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Her current publication projects include a co-edited volume on postal networks and epistolary film as well as a monograph exploring the transformation of the concept of banality in 19th century German culture.
