Since 1972 worked in Výpočtové stredisko Ústavu technickej kybernetiky SAV in Bratislava as a system programmer, responsible for graphic libraries, winning an access to CalComp plotter. In 1973 started to provide Jozef Jankovič computer support for computer graphics, including digital figural transformations. There were only two computers in SAV and upon order from an institution, it was given the access for 1-2 hours a week. Bertók was basically algorithmizating Jankovič's rationalizations (process later named as "controlled serendipity"). Final graphic was made by Jankovič based on plotted print. Since 1990 works in ecological modeling.
