Die Internationale Stadt Berlin wurde am 1.1.1995 von Netzfreaks und Künstlern gegründet. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren 6 der 7 Gründungsmitglieder Internet−User, die auf die Bereitstellung von Internet−Diensten eines kommerziellen Internetanbieters in Berlin angewiesen waren. Zum Jahreswechsel entschloss man sich die Providing−Struktur inklusive User von Contributed Software GbR zu übernehmen.
