Born 1966. Holds an M.A in Philosophy from the University of Ghent as well as an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Leuven. He currently teaches at Erasmushogeschool, department Rits in Brussels. His courses deal with the 19th and 20th century history of ideas, technologies and political ideologies in Europe and the U.S.

Besides teaching, De Pauw established the Belgian chapter of the Dorkbot network and hosted the very first regular series on technology and art at Nieuwpoorttheater in Ghent. With Lieven Menschaert, De Pauw has developed different cd-rom and online projects and has presented work at various festivals both in Belgium and internationally.
