Jean-François Bonhomme (1943) is interested in the philosophical and literary thought in cinema and photography. He first studied at film school (French Film Institute) led by Noël Burch before moving to philosophy at the University of Paris VIII, mainly with Gilles Deleuze and Jean-François Lyotard. Meanwhile, he participated in seminars of Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault at the Collège de France. Since 1982, he has devoted himself mainly to photography. He lives between Paris and Athens.
