Co-directs the 1933 film The Sea, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 1933 for Best Short Subject (Novelty). 1935 member of SAF. Feature films since 1936. 1937 with Ford 'People of the Vistula', depicting the life of workers on the Vistula river, adapted from the novel 'Vistula' by Jerzy Kornacki and Helena Boguszewska of City Outskirts group.
