Juraj Hoppan is a curator and cultural producer based in Bratislava. As a performance curator at the digital arts-focused Sensorium Festival, he explores intersections of media art, human and non-human music, and new sonic futurism(s) in a site-specific context. He also curates shows for Prague’s based art space Petrohradská kolektiv and co-curates the programme at Bratislava based NEXT Festival, where his focus lies on the diversity of global club sounds.

Since 2017 he runs a series of events called Plnka that connects the dots between new sounds from the experimental, club, and sound-art spectrum – with significant help from the likes of Lorenzo Senni, Lea Bertucci, Lonnie Holley, Flora Yin-Wong, Holly Herndon, Meuko Meuko, M.E.S.H., Oli XL, Laurel Halo, Slikback, Ami Yamasaki, Kassem Mosse, Horse Lords, Low Jack, Tomoko Sauvage and many more. He is one of the founders of the label Proto Sites. (2021)
