Katarína Gatialová is a curator, artist and graphic designer. She graduated in art history from the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University, Bratislava (MA, Political Poster in Slovakia, 1968-1989, 2009), and in graphic design from the Academy of Fine Arts, Bratislava (BA).

Since November 2015 Katarína has been working as a head of Digitisation and New Media Departement at the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic. She continues to collaborate with Truc sphérique NGO team in Zilina, Slovakia, with whom she worked on daily basis in years 2012 - 2015 as a curator and a visual arts programmer. There she was in charge for the program at the project space Plusminusnula gallery and partly also at Nova synagoga and Stanica Žilina-Záriečie cultural centre. Since 2008 she has been also a co-organiser of the Multiplace festival.

Worked as a curator of modern art at the Olomouc Museum of Art (2010-12) where she launched the Central European Art Database, a project linking digitised collections of the museums and galleries in Visegrad countries. She was a co-curator of Remake / REthinking Media Art in K(C)ollaborative Environments, an international art project aimed in creation and presentation of new works inspired by the history of media arts (2010-12). Worked also as an editor of Kinečko magazine, and a collaborator of 13m3 collective.

As an artist she works with sound, software-defined radio and DIY machines. She is a member of duo The Receivers, performing site-specific acts with radio scanners, software-defined radio and DIY modular synth. She performs and exhibits also with live-coding band Kolektiv.
