Kyung Yong Lim majored in film studies and film producing at the Korea National University of Arts and Korea Academy of Film Arts. He founded a small publishing company called mediabus in 2007. Then in 2010, he opened The Book Society, a book store and project space where he has promoted books on art and independent publications on various subjects. He is the Editor in Chief of the Book Society series and a co-editor of the journal 00document. The latter is a non-periodical journal that offers a reportage of autonomous projects and activities initiated in the city.
