Langdon Winner (1944) is Thomas Phelan Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York. He received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.
