Lioudmila Voropai
Lioudmila Voropai (1975, Balakleja, Ukraine, Soviet Union) is a philosopher, media theorist, artist, and curator. Since 2019 she has been Interim Professor for Art Research and Media Theory at the University of Arts and Design (HfG) in Karlsruhe. She received her doctorate from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne on the subject of the “Institutionalization of Media Art: Sociological Perspective and Cultural Aspects of the Differentiation of New Media Art Forms.” Her research focuses on art and media theory, political aesthetics, critical theory, sociology of art, and institutional critique.
