Lutz Wohlrab was born in Greifswald in 1959. He studied medicine and works as a psychoanalyst in Berlin and is a publisher too. He has been active in the Mail Art scene since 1985 and organised the Berlin part of the second Decentralised Mail Art Congress in 1992. He was involved in the organisation of the exhibitions: Mail Art Osteuropa – im internationalen Netzwerk at Staatliches Museum Schwerin in 1996, ...keine Kunst? Mail Art-Projekte at Museum for Post und Communication Berlin in 1997 as well as Mail Art Saarland – DDR: Schmuggelgut oder Kassiber?, Saarländische Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Saarbrücken in 2000 and at Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig in 2001. Since 2007 he puts an international Mail Artists’ Index online.
