Marika Kuźmicz
Marika Kuźmicz is a curator, researcher and publicist. She is a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts and Warsaw University in Warsaw and vice-dean of the Facult of Visual Culture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. For many years she has conducted research on Polish art of the 1970s as the head of the Arton Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2010 to work with the private archives of artists from CEE. Marika Kuźmicz is the author and editor of books such as The Workshop of The Film Form (2016, co-edited with Łukasz Ronduda) and History of Performance in Poland (2019). Curator of exhibitions in Poland and abroad, recently: Her Own Way – Female Artists and the Moving Image in Art in Poland, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. She is as well the curator of the film festival Arton Review which took place at the Whitechapel Gallery in London (2017), KUMU Art Museum in Tallin (2018), Contemporary Art Museum in Zagreb (2019), Oberhausen (International Short Films Festival, 2020) and Anthology Film Archives NYC (2021). She is the originator and coordinator of the international art project Forgotten Heritage – European Avant-Garde Art Online (2016-2018) and “Not Yet Written Stories: Women Artists Archives Online” (2019-2022), both supported by Creative Europe Program.
