Artist. Based in Austria. Working primarily in the field of new media art, the areas of exploration include netart, interactive installations, software art and the possibilities of web- elements as cultural tools.
The person behind the pseudonym Carlos Katastrofsky is Michael Kargl, born 1975 in Tyrol, Austria. He lives and works in Vienna. Sculpture at the University 'Mozarteum' of Salzburg 1998 - 2004, final thesis about virtual architecture and cyberspace. Graduated as Mag.art. Teaching: University 'Mozarteum' Salzburg since 2004, Wiener Kunstschule (Vienna Art School) since 2006.
