Nan Wang

Nan Wang is a multi-disciplinary media artist and experimental filmmaker. She is an expert in using poetic abstract visual language to construct immersive experiences. She often finds beauty and philosophical meanings in unwanted man-made objects or substances, and creates artworks that revolve around the topic of identity, perceptions, technology, and social interactions. She uses both new and old technologies. Most of her works take the forms of interactive projection installations, optical devices, live audiovisual performances, and experimental films.

Nan Wang is a core member of WORM.Filmwerkplaats: an artist-run film lab in Rotterdam. Her artworks are currently distributed by LIMA Amsterdam and EYE Experimental. *2024
