Neja Tomšič is a visual artist and writer from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Since graduating from the painting department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, she has been part of individual and group exhibitions for drawing and media, performing and publishing poetry and prose, among others. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy and Theory of Visual Culture at the University of Primorska, researching documentary cinema and related practices in the contemporary art context.
She is the co-founder of MoTA – Museum of Transitory Art, a research and production space devoted to transitory art, where she has been working since 2006. She is the manager and editor of the ArtistTalk project.
