Ovidiu Ţichindeleanu (born 1976) is philosopher and cultural theorist; he lives and works in Chişinău and New York. He studied Philosophy in Cluj (Babes-Bolyai University), Strasbourg (Marc Bloch University) and Binghamton (State University of New York). His Ph.D. thesis The Graphic Sound: An Archeology of Sound, Technology and Knowledge at 1900 [1] is currently prepared for publication. Co-founder of the independent journal Philosophy&Stuff (1997-2001), Romanian Indymedia platform in 2004 and member of several autonomous and popular education collectives. Furthermore, he is a co-editor of The Anticommunist Illusion (Chişinău: Cartier 2008) and Romanian Revolution Televised. Currently, editor of the journal IDEA arts + society and collection coordinator of the publishing house Idea Design & Print. He participated in the 51st Venice Biennale (2005), Documenta 12 (2007), U-Turn (Copenhagen 2008).
