Sourcefabric is a not-for-profit organisation and one of the largest open source media support organisations in Europe. It promotes independent journalism and provide newspapers, radio stations and journalistic enterprises with the open source software, tools and support to produce it. Launched in late April 2010.

The Sourcefabric partners Sava Tatić, Micz Flor and Douglas Arellanes were among the key people behind Campware, a Media Development Loan Fund (MDLF) initiative. They’ve been working to support open source solutions for independent news media organisations in emerging democracies for over a decade. Sourcefabric is the continuation of that work, with offices in Prague, Berlin, Toronto (plus satellites in Poland, Belarus, Romania and Guatemala) and innovative partners working for international newspapers and radio stations worldwide.
