Letné dielne / Summer Open Academy was held on 12-26 August 2006 and then again from 24 August to 7 September 2007 at the facilities of 13m3 and Tranzit initiatives at Zlaté piesky resort in Bratislava. Few years ago, area was refurbished from beton factory into a complex of contemporary art gallery and artistic studios. Besides being situated within industrial zone at the periphery of the Slovak capital, Bratislava, the location is very specific also due to the close neighborhood of large shopping palace on north and west and socialist holiday resort on south and east.

In 2006 program consisted of workshops, lectures, performances and discussions between image, sound, text, software, hardware, objects, location, society and performance.

2007 's academy was organised into workshops where experimentation in collaborative setup has been a central issue. Altogether 17 workshops resulted in 18 public performances, 5 installations and 5 screenings. Workshops were facilitated by local and international artists and scholars: Stanislav Abrahám (cz), AFA (de), Guy van Belle (be/sk), Steven Ball (uk), Martin Blažíček (cz), Filip Cenek (cz), Zuzana Černáková (sk), Lenka Dolanová (cz), Jan Dufek (cz), Klaus Filip (at), Peter Gonda (sk), Arnold Haberl (at), Juraj Halas (sk), Magdalena Hrubá (cz), Barbara Huber (at/sk), Michal Kindernay (cz), Magdaléna Kobzová (sk/cz), Slávo Krekovič (sk), Lukáš Kvašňák (sk), Maxigas (hu), Mária Rišková (sk), Jan Rous (cz), Barbora Šedivá (sk/cz), Pavel Sterec (cz), Miro Tóth (sk), Miloš Vojtěchovský (cz), Anne Wellmer (de/nl), Ladislav Železný (cz), Jana Znášiková (sk), Mirka Zornová (sk). Guests: Nina Czegledy (hu/ca), Katherine Liberovskaya (ca/us), Ákos Maróy (hu), Ursula Scherrer (ch/us).
