Syrago Tsiara

Born 1968 in Larissa, Greece. She studied History and Archaeology at the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki and Social History of Art (M.A.) at the University of Leeds. Her Ph.D thesis was devoted to ‘Public Art and the Formation of National Memory’. For the last ten years she has been working as a curator in the Costakis Collectin at the State Museum of Contemporary Art and as a lecturer at the University of Thessaly. Since 2007 she has been Director of the Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art. She was also a curator of the 2nd Thessaloniki Biennale.
