Tranzit
Tranzit is a long-term initiative in the field of contemporary art and theory founded by Erste Bank Group in September 2002. Tranzit focuses on the region of Central and Eastern Europe and operates primarily in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.
Board of directors (since 2009): Judit Angel (from fall 2013), Vít Havránek, Dóra Hegyi, Georg Schöllhammer, Attila Tordai-S.
Programme directors (2002-08): Katrin Rhomberg and Mária Hlavajová.

- Austria: Georg Schöllhammer (head), Michaela Geboltsberger (general manager and project coordinator, since Jan 2015).
- Czech Republic: Veronika Janatková (director, since 2019), Tereza Stejskalová (curator, 2015-2018; program director, since 2019). Past: Vít Havránek (director, 2002-2019), Zbyněk Baladrán (curator), Věra Krejčová (project manager).
- Slovakia: Judit Angel (director, since 2013), Lýdia Pribišová (project coordinator), Petra Balíková (project coordinator). Past: Boris Ondreička (director, 2002-2012), Laco Teren (interim director, 2012-2013).
- Hungary: Dóra Hegyi (head, since 2005), Vera Simon (office manager and project coordinator, since 2011), Gyula Muskovics (curator, since 2013).

In March 2006 Tranzit.sk opened post-factory atelier building located next to its exhibition space in Zlaté piesky, Bratislava. Resident artists included Andrea Bartošová, Michal Czinege, Mária Čorejová, Viktor Frešo, Mira Gáberová, Matej Gavula, Lukáš Haruštiak, Marian Hornyák, Kristína Hrončeková, Dorota Kenderová, Július Koller, Denisa Lehocká, Betty Majerníková, Monika Mitášová, Juliana Mrvová, Zuzana Surkošová, Erik Šille, Milan Tittel, Lucia Tkáčová, Gordana Zlatanovič, and the 13m3 initiative. The venue had operated until 2013 [1].
