Born 1957. Ulrich Mueller began his musical career as a rock musician. He studied composition with Klaus K. Huebler, took courses on computer music with Clarence Barlow, and has participated in the Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music.

He has appeared at major international venues, including the Donaueschingen Festival and Ars Electronica, and the Zentrum fuer Kunst- und Medientechnologie (ZKM).

He is also active in the areas of sonic and radio art and sound installation, as one of the curators of the t-u-b-e gallery for radiophonic art, installations and audio performance in Munich.
