Dr. Vlado Delic (1964) is a professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, where he teaches Acoustics and Audio signal processing. The focus of his research is voice communication between man and machine. His research group is a regional leader in the development and application of speech technologies: automatic speech recognition and speech synthesis for Serbian language, voice portals, applications for verbal communication with address books, robots and gadgets in the "smart home", audio archives search, etc. He has received prestigious awards at home and abroad for his contribution to innovation. He currently leads the largest project in the region in the field of speech-language technology - "Development of dialog systems for Serbian and other South Slavic languages" - which brings together 32 researchers from Serbia and abroad. He also coordinates the project "Audio library for people with disabilities."
