The Practice to Policy (P2P) conference: Towards A European Media Culture was organised by the Virtueel Platform in De Balie, Amsterdam, and V2, Rotterdam, from 29 October - 1 November 1997, and brought together expert practitioners and policy makers from across Europe to discuss the future of media-cultural policies. P2P forms part in the series of events that began with the New Space Conference in Prague and continued with the international L'artiste, le citoyen, et l'entrepreneur seminar in Hérimoncourt (F). At P2P, a more pragmatic angle was taken, based on the experiences and "good practice" of media practitioners.
