Radislav Matuštík (1929-2006) was a Slovak art historian, pedagogue and critic.
He studied at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague at the Comenius University in Bratislava. In 1969 he defended his thesis on Ľudovít Fulla and was appointed a lecturer at the Comenius University. In the 1960s he published extensively on new tendencies in visual art and the avant-garde movement in Slovakia. After 1972 he was forbidden to teach and publish. In the 1980s he was involved in the activities of the "unofficial" scene, culminating in the now legendary exhibition Suterén [Basement] he curated in February 1989. His most well-know book is Predtým. Prekročenie hraníc, 1964–1971, first published in samizdat in 1972.
