HotelPupik
HotelPupik is an internationally oriented artists-in-residence programme to which a selection of artists from various disciplines is invited each year – with cross-media collaboration being an important aspect. Between May and October, living quarters and studios are made available to participants. The association covers the costs of food, accommodation and basic materials. The length of stay can be agreed individually (approx. 3–5 weeks). The projects developed are presented during a three-day event. The association O.R.F. also provides continuous documentation and publication in consultation with the artists.
The O.R.F association, founded in 1990 by Martin Dickinger, Kriso Leinfellner and Heimo Wallner, organised intermedia symposia in the buildings of the Schwarzenberg dairy in Schrattenberg, St. Lorenzen bei Scheifling in Styria until 1998. Since 1999, the artists in residence programme HotelPupik has been the focus of O.R.F.'s activities. [President since 1997: Uli Vonbank-Schedler]. Over the years, the association's diverse activities and the contacts established through the artists participating in the programme have given rise to a wide-ranging network in which new projects and collaborations are constantly developing.
