On 27 June 2020, the institution announced the withdrawal from its thirty-year-old name “Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art”. Its new name is set to come into effect in January 2021. Marking the start of this transitional juncture, its name insignia are dismantled from the façade of the building; it is removed from social media channels and letterhead.
