It organizes exhibitions, commissions art, publishes, and develops educational and collaborative initiatives. On 27 June 2020, the institution announced the withdrawal from its thirty-year-old name “Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art”. Its new name is set to come into effect in January 2021.
