Lori Emerson is an Associate Professor in the Media Studies Department at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is also Director of the Intermedia Art, Writing, and Performance (IAWP) Program and Founding Director of the Media Archaeology Lab. She writes about media poetics as well as the history of computing, media archaeology, media theory and digital humanities.
Her published books include Other Networks: A Radical Technology Sourcebook (Mexican Summer, 2025), The Lab Book: Situated Practices in Media Studies, co-written with Jussi Parikka and Darren Wershler (University of Minnesota Press, 2022) and Reading Writing Interfaces: From the Digital to the Bookbound (University of Minnesota Press, 2014).
