Dorkbot Sofia started in 2004 as a series of informal presentation by "people doing strange things with electricity" and was the first dorkbot series in Central and Eastern Europe. Dorkbot Sofia was initiated and coordinated by Rene Beekman.
Dorkbot Sofia presenters include artists Ivan Bachev, Krassimir Terziev and writer Raina Markova among others.
Dorkbot Sofia has been supported by Irida Gallery and Sofia Electricity Distribution EAD
