Lukáš Likavčan (1991, Nové Zámky, Slovakia) is a postdoctoral fellow in Global Perspectives on Society at NYU Shanghai and a visiting researcher at Leiden Observatory. His areas of expertise include philosophy of science and technology and environmental philosophy.

Previously, Likavčan studied philosophy at Masaryk University, where he also obtained his PhD in environmental studies. He was a visiting researcher at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University; a lecturer at the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design and the Centre for Audiovisual Studies FAMU in Prague; and a fellow at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and BAK, basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht.
