Born 1974. Artist, facilitator, and curator living and working between [[Berlin]], [[London]] and [[Vilnius]]. Studied visual arts at the Academy of Arts in Vilnius and at the Muthesius-Hochschule in [[Kiel]]. He has taken part in a numerous solo and group exhibitions around Europe and is an active participant in various conferences, projects and workshops related to networks and digital culture: [[RAM|Re-Approaching new Media]], Interfiction, Plektrum, TRACES. Gapševičius collaboratively initiated several major international cultural/educational projects including [[Abandoned Mystery]], [[Institutio Media|o-o Institutio Media]] (1998) and the Migrating Art Academies.
