Sophie Toupin is a PhD candidate in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University, Montréal, Canada. Her current research examines the relationship between technology and anti-colonialism. She also explores the links between technology, feminism, and activism through ethnographic studies and projects. She is a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship award recipient (2016-2019). She is one of the co-founders of FemHack, a feminist hacklab in Montréal and one of the co-organizers of the TransHackFeminist Convergences. (2019)
