Lozana Rossenova is a a digital humanities researcher and designer based in Berlin. She is a Postdoc Researcher at the Open Science Lab in TIB Hannover, working on the NFDI4Culture project for a national research infrastructure of cultural heritage data. She is particularly interested in working with open-source and community-driven approaches to digital infrastructures, which organise, store and make knowledge, and different ways of knowing, accessible. In 2021, she completed a PhD degree at the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image, London South Bank University, in collaboration with Rhizome. Her PhD project focused on data presentation and performativity, with Rhizome’s archive of net art serving as a case study for open source and community-driven approaches to archive design. Rossenova is an active member of the Wikidata and Wikibase open source development communities, and a mentor for OpenRefine, an open source data management tool with wide adoption in heritage, research and digital humanities communities.
