The gallery was established in 2004 as one of the first independent exhibition spaces in Prague. It was founded by DRAWetc. studio (namely Vladimír Strejček) together with artists Jiří Skála and Jiří Franta. Markéta Vinglerová joined the curatorial team three years later. In 2011, the founders of the gallery were replaced by artist Radim Langer and curator [[Tereza Stejskalová]], who was herself substituted by artist Martin Prudil two years later. In 2017, Alžběta Bačíková and Anna Remešová became the gallery curators, and continue to participate in the dramaturgy together with the current curators Markéta Jonášová a Tomáš Kajánek. Over the course of its sixteen-year long history, the gallery exhibited many artists of the upcoming generation, including artists who are now well-established, such as Kateřina Šedá, Dominik Lang, artist duo Alexandra Vajd and Hynek Alt, [[Václav Magid]], [[Martin Kohout]], French post-conceptual group Claire Fontaine and Bosnian artist Šejla Kamerić.

Each year, the gallery hosts two solo exhibitions, simultaneously producing new audiovisual artworks. The exhibition programme deals mainly with the presentation of contemporary art of moving image film and video dealing with current socio-political issues. As part of various research projects, the gallery cooperates with a number of cultural and educational institutions, researchers and other experts.
