mama - Multimedia Institute is a net culture club located in Zagreb, founded in 1999 by Nenad Romić a.k.a. Marcell Mars, Teodor Celakoski, Vedran Gulin, Tomislav Medak, Zeljko Blace, Petar Milat, Boris Buden and others.
Past.forward is the department for theory within mama established in 2000. It promotes new theoretical practices (in particular critical social theory & aesthetics) both in Croatia and in the Ex-Yugoslavia. Members of the group edit several philosophical series, and Past.forward hosts the work of numerous theorists.
