Peter Sit
Peter Sit is an artist and curator. He is oscillating between Bratislava and New York City. He was co-founder of art collective and platform APART (2012-2022).
Together with Apart he has exhibited in Kunsthalle Bratislava, Karlín Studios in Prague, Easttopics in Budapest, Plusmínusnula in Zilina, Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno, CCA Chronicle in Bytom, MoMA in NYC. He received various grants, fellowships, awards and residencies (Salzburg Summer Academy, Art in General New York). He is the editor of several books and curator of exhibitions and projects such as Harun Farocki: Shaping of Our Present at A Promise of Kneropy, 2022, Life, Death, Love and Justice with Didem Yazici at Yapı Kredi in Istanbul, 2022, and 9th Futurological Congress: Future of Language with Julieta Aranda at the Slovak Radio building, 2019. He has organised and participated in several lectures and discussions on conceptual art in the context of (art) education or mental health.
He writes on topic Art in Times in Anxieties and Depressions. He works as an art director of e-flux journal and as freelance video editor and photographer. (2025)
