Klaus-Michel (Mike) Steiner (8 July 1941, Allenstein - 3 January 2012, Berlin) was a German painter and pioneer of video art. He opened the artists' hotel Hotel Steiner and the studio gallery as venues for the international artistic avant-garde in Berlin and promoted innovative art forms such as Fluxus and performance art. He also created the revolutionary format Videogalerie (1985–1990), in which he produced, presented and broadcast contributions to video art on German television. As an artist, he experimented with several art genres, techniques and styles and often worked across different media.

In addition to his work as a (video) artist, gallery owner and initiator of performances in his legendary Berlin studio gallery, he collected art videotapes, which over the course of his life developed into comprehensive collections and testimonies to video art.
