Christina Grammatikopoulou is an art theorist and curator.

She studied Archeology and Art History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1997 to 2002 and obtained her Master’s Degree at the same University in 2007.

She is currently affiliated with the University of Barcelona, where she completed her PhD dissertation on contemporary art, focusing on bodily experience and information technologies.

As a curator she has collaborated with the Centre of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki and the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA).

In 2008 she founded the contemporary art magazine Interartive, where she still works as member of the editorial team. She is also a member of the research group “Art, Architecture and Digital Society” of the University of Barcelona.

Her research focuses on the perception of the body within contemporary artworks that are based on digital technologies and breathing, as an intersection of an immaterial field with our corporeal existence, where new ways of experiencing everyday life and art emerge. (2019)
