Cristian Bettini set out on a singular, documented journey to the centre of Italy, walking with a donkey and a laptop along side roads through isolated villages. Two years later, he crossed the Netherlands with the project, "Donkeypedia" where he spent a month walking with a donkey, this time with recording equipment, laptop, GPS and solar panels to create a multimedia, online account of the journey.
In his latest version, "Donkijote" (2009), Cristian and his donkey Minuto travel through the northern region of Asturia receiving help from those they meet to create a modern day story written and documented on the road between the speed of modern technology and the biological slowness of man and animal.
