Electra, Women’s Art Center, Zagreb. Director: Sanja Ivekovic. Established in 1995, as a documentation and information centre on women artists, it is the first in Croatia and is linked to the Center for Women's Studies in Zagreb. It aims to hold cultural and educational events and to provide a centre for access and equipment for work in the new media in its studio. The first public event in March 1997 was called Women's Rooms. Electra were also organisers of the conference Co-operation: an International Forum on Feminist Art Practice and Theory held in Dubrovnik in September 2000.
